Ohio Bar & Metal Co. is the round bar division of Premium Steel Sales LLC. From our Cleveland-area office, we serve manufacturers across the United States and Canada. Our team brings more than 50 years of combined experience in steel purchasing, sales, processing, and logistics.
We handle carbon, alloy, and free-machining grades in hot-rolled, cold-finished, annealed, and quenched-and-tempered conditions. Requirements range from standard mill lengths to processed bar with controlled diameter, straightness, surface quality, mechanical properties, testing, or heat traceability.
SBQ and MBQ Material
We quote Special Bar Quality (SBQ) and Merchant Bar Quality (MBQ) material. Product quality is determined by the end use and governing specification, including chemistry, mechanical properties, hardenability, surface limits, decarburization, dimensional tolerances, and testing.
The complete requirement—not the grade number alone—determines the material and processing route.
