Information You Send Us
When you submit an RFQ or contact Ohio Bar & Metal Co., we use the contact, company, material, delivery, and other information you provide—including attached specifications, spreadsheets, images, technical documents, or other RFQ files—to review the requirement, prepare a quote, and follow up with you. Ohio Bar & Metal Co. is the round bar division of Premium Steel Sales LLC, which handles customer setup and invoicing.
Website Traffic Information
We use first-party traffic measurement to understand visitor and session counts, viewed pages, general referral sources, device category, time spent, scroll depth, quote-button use, and aggregate progress through the RFQ form. This measurement uses randomly generated browser and session identifiers. Analytics events do not record the values typed into form fields. Submitted RFQ details are handled separately as business inquiries. We do not store a visitor’s raw IP address in our first-party traffic reports, and the staff dashboard is excluded from measurement.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to create privacy-masked session replays, heatmaps, and aggregate interaction reports so we can find confusing pages, broken interactions, and obstacles in the quote-request process. RFQ forms are explicitly masked, and we do not send contact names, email addresses, company names, or RFQ field values to Clarity. Clarity receives the same randomly generated visitor, session, and page identifiers used by our first-party reporting so authorized staff can connect an anonymous website journey with a later RFQ.
We use Google Ads and Google Analytics measurement to understand whether an advertising visit results in a completed RFQ. Unless traffic measurement is turned off or a supported browser privacy signal blocks it, a Google advertising click identifier (such as gclid, gbraid, or wbraid) may be retained in this browser for up to 90 days and with a submitted RFQ so the inquiry can be attributed to the advertisement that produced it; it is not included in RFQ notification emails or ordinary traffic reports. Google may receive that click identifier, the RFQ completion time, a value used only for conversion reporting, and the same non-identifying RFQ transaction code sent by the browser so duplicate measurements can be reconciled. This limited server-side reconciliation is used for conversion measurement, not ad personalization, and does not send contact details or RFQ content. When the relevant advertising and data-sharing permissions have been granted, staff may also classify that website RFQ as a qualified opportunity. For qualified-lead measurement, Google may receive one-way SHA-256 hashes of the submitted email address and phone number, the qualification time, and a separate non-identifying deduplication code. Google does not receive the contact name, company name, material requirement, quantity, notes, attachments, or other RFQ text through either process. Browser-based Google Consent Mode keeps advertising and analytics storage denied unless the visitor grants the relevant permissions through the site’s consent controls.
We use Dealfront’s Leadfeeder technology to infer the likely business organization associated with a website visit. Dealfront processes network and visit information, including an IP address, by comparing it with business-network data and enriching a match with company-level information such as business name, industry, size, and general location. IP anonymization is enabled, so Dealfront truncates the address and Ohio Bar & Metal Co. does not receive or retain a visitor’s raw IP address. We do not send RFQ field values, contact names, email addresses, or person-level identification to Dealfront. Company matches are estimates and may be incomplete or incorrect.
Leadfeeder operates in consent-management mode on this site. Its company-matching function can run without placing its analytics cookie. Dealfront may set that cookie only after a visitor explicitly grants both analytics and third-party consent through the site’s consent controls; otherwise it remains cookieless. Browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals are honored before Dealfront, Clarity, or first-party measurement loads. You may also turn off website traffic measurement below. This choice is saved in this browser and applies to all four systems.
Service Providers and Retention
Our website hosting, form, database, private file-storage, security, email, behavior-analytics, and business-visitor-identification service providers process information only as needed to operate these services. RFQ attachments are stored privately and are available only through authenticated, authorized staff access. RFQ records and files are retained for sales, customer service, legal, and business recordkeeping needs. Limited first-party traffic, normalized company-visit records, and aggregate Clarity export snapshots may be kept as ongoing historical performance records unless they are no longer needed or must be removed. Microsoft currently retains ordinary Clarity playback data for 30 days and click, heatmap, labeled, or favorited data for up to 9 months. Ohio Bar & Metal Co. does not copy Dealfront raw IP addresses or person-level data into its database.
Authorized sales staff may optionally ask an AI service to prepare a draft reply from limited inquiry details and recent message text. Email addresses and phone numbers are removed from that drafting context where detected, attachments are not sent to the AI service, provider-side response storage is disabled, and every draft must be reviewed and sent by a person. The AI service cannot send email or make a final quoting decision.
