F1554 Round Bar: Material Profile

ASTM F1554 includes Grades 36, 55, and 105; the grade and all dimensional, threading, coating, testing, and certification requirements must be stated.

Because F1554 is a product specification rather than one steel chemistry, the purchase requirement controls material selection.

Purchase to the controlling ASTM, SAE, AMS, or customer specification. Section size, supply condition, mechanical properties, surface limits, testing, and heat/lot traceability can change the acceptable material and processing route.
