1010 Round Bar: Material Profile

1010 steel offers good ductility, formability, and welding characteristics for parts that do not require high through-hardness.

It may be specified in hot-rolled, cold-finished, or other processed conditions according to dimensional and mechanical requirements.

Purchase to the controlling ASTM, SAE, AMS, or customer specification. Section size, supply condition, mechanical properties, surface limits, testing, and heat/lot traceability can change the acceptable material and processing route.
