1035 provides more carbon and potential hardness than low-carbon grades, making it suitable for components exposed to moderate loads.

Material may be supplied in hot-rolled, cold-finished, normalized, annealed, or other specified conditions.

Purchase to the controlling ASTM, SAE, AMS, or customer specification. Section size, supply condition, mechanical properties, surface limits, testing, and heat/lot traceability can change the acceptable material and processing route.
